With over 40 + years’ experience, Ray Parker formed Parker Bromley Ltd in March 1980 to provide a quality plumbing and heating service. Initially he concentrated his activities in the domestic market, working in partnership with British Gas. The mechanical department formed in 1993 to operate alongside the domestic department. In 1997, the design and build and electrical departments were formed. In addition, Parker Bromley project manage, design and supervise from the initial design brief through to the building process until practical handover and completion. Ray Parker also oversees the Health & Safety department, increasing awareness of employees and safety representatives of health and safety issues, ensuring that health and safety issues are treated as an integral part of the working of the company and ensuring competent health and safety advice and guidance is readily available. Parker Bromley are corporate members of The Worshipful Company of Plumbers, one of the most ancient of the Livery Companies of the City of London. Ray is very proud of Parker Bromley, an ever-expanding successful company, with a dynamic and enthusiastic team.
Daniel Mears is a first class degree qualified building services engineer with over 14 active years in the industry, with experience in delivering high value and prestige projects in all sectors of the building services industry. He joined the Board of Parker Bromley in 2017.
He overseas delivery of all operational aspects of the company from inception to completion and takes a significant interest in project design and value engineering to suit the client’s needs.
With excellent communication skills he is able to elicit customer requirements and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle and demonstrates strong problem-solving capabilities used to mitigate risks and issues, allowing projects to meet deadlines, budgets and objectives. He is constantly working with the other board members to solidify Parker Bromley’s place in the industry and to grow the company whilst ensuring that its key values are not compromised.
With over 20 years’ experience within the building services industry, Jody Parker as Director of the company, controls the activities of the operating departments by ensuring that the company achieves its planned operating goals by meeting customer requirements for quality installations and services. He has extensive knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical services. He oversees the strategic management of Parker Bromley from tendering stage up to, handover and beyond. He has been involved with works on public sector, private sector projects, including large scale new build residential, mixed use schemes, refurbishment and regeneration schemes, office, energy centres and district heating, with values ranging from £1,000,000 to £15m. In 2002 he gained an HNC in Building Services Engineering and is presently a member of the IoD (The Institute of Directors) which provides members with a range of resources, including access to business information, training, professional expertise and networking opportunities. He is very proud of his family owned business, with turnover currently in excess of £25m and still growing!
Thomas Edwards oversees all commercial related matters within the company including the Finance, Quantity Surveying and Purchasing Departments. He has over eleven years’ experience within these areas and within the Building Services industry. He has worked on both public sector and private sector initiatives and is familiar with a broad spectrum of projects, including large scale new build residential schemes, refurbishment & regeneration schemes, office fit out, energy centres & district heating schemes and decent homes schemes. He has first-hand experience of managing projects from a value of £50,000 to £15,000,000. He obtained a first class BSc (Hons) Degree in Commercial Management and is currently an Incorporated Member of the Chartered Institute of Builders. He ensures he is up-to-date in regards to contract and case law changes along with technical advances within the industry by attending regular approved CPD courses.
